Sharyn Albini is so talented! I'm always excited for her sessions so I can see what creative way she has set a room on fire next! I had a session this morning for a feature article in the South Carolina Woman Magazine on a FANTASTIC designer, Sharyn McNair Albini. If you are a local to the Myrtle Beach area you will have to pick up a SC Woman in October to see her beautiful work. Sharyn is so talented and such a lovely lady to work with. LOVE her personality! Loads of energy, big bright smile, and an obvious love of his mommy....that is Ian. What a sweetie. I first met him in November when I shot his portraits in NC. When his mom said they were coming to the beach I couldn't wait to see him running in the sand. I knew he would have a blast and that his shoot would be amazing. I was right! These are my favorite types of shoots....mom and son just kicking back enjoying a day together. Ginger, thank you for entrusting me once again to capture Ian's moments. Give him hugs from me!

I know many people across the country have been blanketed with the white fluffy flakes since well before the official start of winter. Traveling we have even seen quite a bit of it ourselves this year, however one place we rarely see snow is our home in Myrtle Beach. This year though, last week actually we waited patiently and our final accumulation was 4" in our neighborhood. It was the perfect snow...beautiful, not too much, not too little, and completely gone by the end of the day.
Since this isn't something we see very often, it has been 10 years since the last time we had a snow of this nature....I had to take some shots for us to remember it by. For the rest of the country...I hope you thaw out soon!

I'm an only child, and my daughter is an only child also...so I love to see brother and sisters interact. Especially when they are so young and their relationship is so pure and innocent. There is a special bond there that is obvious to all who see them, even in the midst of arguments, jealousy, and the midst of he said she did...they always have each other, and to capture that from the beginning, is one of my favorite moments.
Meet baby Will, and his beautiful 5 year old big sister Kristen. Will is only 4 weeks old in these portraits, and he absolutely tops my 5 best babies ever list! He was such a sweet boy, and a joy to shoot. His sister was completely entranced with her new role as big sis, and what a great job she does! Now, when Will is a bit older, he can see he was loved by her from the very beginning. What a moment to capture forever! Thank you to mom Patrice for allowing me to be a part of this very special time.

This past weekend, my daughter and I went to visit my parents for my mother's birthday in NC and we were greeted with SNOW! Being from Myrtle Beach, Maddie was thrilled to see the white flakes falling. While in town I managed to snap a few off of my kiddo ready for the snow and a few special shots of her with my mother on her 65th birthday. We spent a lot of time playing and not as much time shooting....but the one's I captured are positively priceless. What a great weekend....but I have to confess, I am REALLY ready for spring!

The moment you become a parent, you realize how quickly time passes. One moment you are bringing home your new angel, and the next it seems you are holding their tiny hands on the first day of school. Jeni and Sok, two amazing friends and clients of mine, are learning that very lesson with their own angel, Hattie Belle. It seems like I was just shooting Jeni's maternity portraits yesterday, and today I was shooting her 6 month portraits. Like any new parent though, Jeni and Sok are learning that although the time passes quickly, you love them more and more each day.
Happy 6th month birthday Hattie Belle! You are a beauty and did such a wonderful job today...and Jeni and Sok, thank you for allowing me to caputre each stage of Hattie's young life. She is such a joy.

Meet Lilly and Faith. They are two very special ladies. Lilly's hubby has been serving in Afghanistan and these portraits were a surprise for him. The big surprise is the collage I am creating for him which she will be sending to him for Valentine's Day. What a great gift for her husband who is a world away...a little piece of his wife and beautiful sassy daughter Faith. This little girl was so much fun to shoot. Her mom has the most giving personality, and Faith was determined to play the day, "oh so cool" but as you can see, she got very into the shoot and we all had a blast. I only wish we could see her husband's face when he sees the images for the first time. Now there is a moment I would love to capture!
